A lot of fans were left wondering what kind of shift Ross and Rocky Lynch would take when they essentially dismantled R5 and spawned The Driver Era. The name, by the way, came to them as they were driving to a party. How that stuck is still mind-boggling to this day. In any case, the shift has been evident in their musical style. While the lyrics to their songs are still about love for the most part, the beats incorporate a lot more synthetic sounds compared to their previous work. What this has created for live events are two separate avenues that the boys can turn towards to shift their concerts from one song to the next.

On Monday, June 2nd, you can probably expect them to start out with some of their newest tracks like You Keep Me Up at Night or something from their latest album that will be out by then. Preacher Man, which was the first single for the new band, is kind of the pivotal point. Once that comes up, you can expect some of the songs from the Lynch boys' youth to start flowing from the speakers at the Michigan Lottery Amphitheatre at Freedom Hill. That's when you might see more Lynch family members walking out on stage. It's really nice to see that R5 didn't end on bad terms. The group even released a new single in 2024. Check that one out because it might be on the bingo card come Monday, June 2nd. You never know what to expect from these guys!
