'It’s coming down' at the Michigan Lottery Amphitheatre at Freedom Hill this summer, so make sure you’re there to find out why 'sheep go to heaven and goats to hell', where Frank Sinatra sings ‘Stormy Weather’, what it is about 'commissioning a symphony in C', and why he’s in the music business, calling you ‘dude’!

Just how sweet is this news, Sterling Heights? Cake is on the road again, and is coming to the Michigan Lottery Amphitheatre at Freedom Hill on 13 August 2025!

Tickets are priced from as low as $75 and already selling like 'fashion nuggets', so the question is - will you be there? 'Go the distance' - get your tickets now!

Cake Tickets from $75

Calling all punks, hippies, jam band types, nerds, goats going to hell, older bro’s, and everybody else out there: Cake is back on the menu!

The Sacramento rock-meets-pretty-much-every-other-genre-out-there band that keeps ‘going the distance’, is back on the road, serving up their signature catchy riffs, belt-alongs, infectious energy, and mind-blowing musicianship to starving crowds all across North America! Cake is slated to kick off their limited-date tour in mid-April 2025 in Little Rock, Arkansas, canvassing some major venues across the nation, taking their bow in Interlochen, Michigan, in mid-August 2025.

When it comes to Cake, the only things to expect are the unexpected, and one hell of a great time. Whenever charismatic frontman John McCrea, multi-instrumentalist Vince DiFiore, drummer Todd Roper, guitarist Xan McCurdy, and bassist Daniel McCallum take the stage, their one-of-a-kind fun and grooving rock music about car safety belts, sheep that go to heaven, and people in the music business calling you ‘dude, send crowds reeling, leaving them with that after-show buzz that lasts for weeks.

Let’s be frank: there is nobody out there like Cake. When everybody else goes right, Cake goes left. Their unique, tongue-in-cheek and quirky music draws inspiration from many genres, from Iranian folk music to hip hop, from mariachi to rock, from funk to country, featuring healthy doses of trumpet, crowd participation, and crispy, fun and spontaneous jamming.

When Cake hit the musical buffet table in 1995 with their debut album, ‘Motorcade of Generosity’, featuring the hit single, ‘Rock ‘n Roll Lifestyle’, music critics and lovers alike fell in love with the quirky band, describing them as “soulful and smooth, witty and gritty”, with “great lyrics, creative instrumentation, and production that’s about as simple as production gets”. To date, Cake has released six studio albums, and recently dropped a new smash-hit single, “Billionaire in Space”, from their new album set to drop in 2025.

The open-air Michigan Lottery Amphitheatre at Freedom Hill is about to have its foundations shaken by the most tasty musical experience ever, alongside the sounds of thousands of feet streaming in to catch Cake live in concert. The venue boasts reserved seating for up to 3,000 people in the canopy-area alone, with plenty more in the general admission lawn area. Regardless of where you choose to be seated, you are in for a fantastic time!

So, have you gone the distance yet? Make sure to get your tickets in the bag right now!
