Scott Holiday, Rival Sons guitarist has expressed his utmost enthusiasm, saying: “We’ve wanted to put something together with Clutch for a long time. They’re one of the acts that we could notice people rep’ing at our shows, so we’ve always thought it could make a great double bill! Happy to bring the ‘Two-Headed Beast’ to life! The riff will be strong on this tour …as will the good times!”

Clutch's front man Neil Fallon, has equally show excitement as he says: “We are looking forward to our tour with Rival Sons...Throughout the course of our set, Clutch will be performing Blast Tyrant. Both bands have plenty of mutual fans and will garner many more throughout the course of ‘The Two Headed Beast’ tour. We hope to see you there!”

Clutch has solidified their reputation as one of the enduring pioneers of the stoner rock movement. Formed in 1991 in their hometown in Germantown, Maryland, Clutch has outlasted most of their contemporaries. The band has made and continues to make music on their own terms. Unshackled by trends and the pressure to spawn a hit, Clutch has 13 studio albums to their name, plus numerous rarities and live albums in their discography. Their albums has made it to the elite press and music critics' lists. Rolling Stone has hailed their 2018 release "Book of Bad Decisions" as “bathed in the grit and liberal fuzz tone that have made their live shows legendary.” The 2013 album "Earth Rocker" and 2015’s "Psychic Warfare" figured prominently in Classic Rock Magazine's 50 Best Rock Albums of the 2010s.

Rival Sons are your no-apologies, no-holds barred zealous rockers that deliver an impassioned stint whether they're recording or playing the live stage. As they released their 7th full length album "Darkfighter", lead vocalist and guitarist Jay Buchanan expressed his commitment to their fans, saying:

“With the world being so heavy, we recognized a responsibility to put a good word on people’s ears so there’s a good word coming back on their tongues too,” states Jay. “We missed the joy of the live show and that magical interaction. When it was taken from us, that made me want to sing about topics that were important. There are strong themes on this record of loss of identity, preservation of joy, and beholding light and shape again.”

“Records are a healthy form of escapism,” adds Scott. “I hope this one takes you as far away as possible. Our intent was to create a more cinematic body of work. As soon as the doors shut behind you, you’re enveloped on the ride. Maybe you get lost in it and gain whatever you might need from it.”

Such indefatigable spirit resulted in scoring GRAMMY® Award nominations in the areas of “Best Rock Album” and “Best Rock Performance” for the single “Too Bad.” Rolling Stone also sang praises for, “Rival Sons have done their part to introduce new fans to rock.”
