Kehlani had the ambition and determination to never settle, but to chase after a dream. After beginning her career back in 2009 in a band called PopLyfe which lead her to start performing in numerous cities as head vocalist for the band. By 2011 her and her band had set out and joined to compete in the sixth season of America's Got Talent, To which they did a phenomenal job and came forth in the worlds biggest show for talent. In which she was encouraged by A judge to pursue more into the industry as she has the talent to reach the top as a single person. In 2015 Kehlani had a massive step forward in her music career by opening for G-Eazy on tour.at this time Rolling Stone had also included her in their "10 artists you need to know" article, but little did they know this was merely just the beginning for Kehlani. In just a year she had collaborated on a song called "Gangsta" which was featured in the hit film "Suicide Squad" and came 41st in the topp 100 songs of the year! By 2017 she flying through the industry and featured in legendary American rapper Eminem's single "Nowhere Fast". Within a Decade from her start she had already featured and collaborated with many Big name artist, released 3 commercial mixtapes (notably "While We Wait" which was listed as 9th on Billboard 200 and sold over 34,000 times in its first week). Even Covid-19 didnt stop her ambition, as all it did was delay events rather than canceling them. Resulting in her going on tour for "Justice World Tour" , supporting singer Jaden Smith. Lately her newer songs have had a more emotional grasp on her fans and supporters as she used her music to show what she believes in and addresses the issues happening in hope for unity and support for all the children of Palestine. Even going as far as to vocalise a personally penned message dedicated for those who lost their lives.
