As titans of the indie rock business, Pixies and Modest Mouse have become a staple among indie rock and alternative fanatics. Both of these highly acclaimed acts are set to deliver their career-spanning hits.
Pixies have conquered the airwaves with outstanding singles like “Monkey Gone to Heaven,” “Velouria,” “Letter to Memphis,” and many more. These singles have all charted in the Top 5 on Billboard’s Adult Alternative Airplay, in addition to charting impressively in other countries. Moreover, their critically regarded albums have also garnered massive amounts of sales and streams. Their sophomore effort, Death to the Pixies, became the band’s career-defining effort, catapulting their career to incredible heights. In addition to studio albums, the band had also showcased their brilliant knack for indie rock hits through their notable eps.
Meanwhile, Modest Mouse’s claim to fame was their 2000 effort, The Moon & Antarctica. The album made a breakthrough into the Billboard 200, and it eventually sold over 500,000 copies, earning the group their first gold certification. By 2004, Modest Mouse had become a fixture in the indie rock scene with the release of their fourth effort, Good News for People Who Love Bad News. The album soared to number 18 on the Billboard 200 and spawned the Billboard Hot 100 charting single “Float On.” This 2024, the band is set on delivering a plethora of iconic hits ranging from their early releases all the way to their latest album, The Golden Casket.
