Road Warrior, Riley Green, announced his Damn Country Music Tour in late 70s style with a hilarious video with a special nod to Burt Reynolds and Smokey and the Bandit. The headline run kicks off in March in Abbotsford, BC, and plays at a further 5 Canadian venues before arriving in the States. The Multi-platinum selling singer-songwriter will play just one night in Detroit's Sterling Heights, at the Michigan Lottery Amphitheatre at Freedom Hill on the 31st of May 2025. Before continuing on with a total of 23 cities across all of North America and ending the tour over in Nampa, ID at the Ford Idaho Center Amphitheater in August. As for supporting acts, the lovely, Ella Langley will join Riley at every show. While Jake Worthington, Erik Dylan, Drake White, Channing Wilson, Vincent Mason, Wyatt McCubbin, Lauren Watkins, Mike Ryan and Preston Cooper will be rotating as additional support throughout the tour.
Now, when we said to expect some cool duets, we meant it. When announcing the tour, Riley shared this teaser. “I learned to play guitar to my granddaddy’s favorite country songs from back in the day, and the new album is a throwback to the era when I first became a fan. For this tour, I was able to find some of my favorite artists and songwriters to join us, and singing with Ella every night will be a lot of fun.”
To get you in the mood and revved up, Riley Green’s forthcoming third studio album, Don’t Mind If I Do, will be out on October 18th 2024. And according to the man himself, it delivers even more of the country sound he developed in Ain’t My Last Rodeo. It's an album that draws from his experiences in small-town life in rural Alabama, it's honest, relatable and at times humorous. The 18 track album features 4 songs solely written by Riley, including the title track of the album, which he sings with duet partner Ella Langley, along with “Jesus Saves,” “Worst Way,” and “Good Morning From Mexico.”
