Coheed and Cambria & Taking Back Sunday at Michigan Lottery Amphitheatre at Freedom Hill

Ever since they released their debut studio album, Tell All Your Friends, Taking Back Sunday have been categorized as one of the few bands that, while leaning slightly more pop punk in sound, still adheres to the overall image of emo. Their authenticity is still felt all the way in the present day, too. Their newest release, 2023’s 152, still holds up for fans of their first few records. As a band, Coheed and Cambria are truly unique. Each one of their eleven studio albums is based on the lore of The Amory Wars, a sci-fi comic series written by Cambria’s frontman, Claudio Sanchez. More recently, their eleventh studio album, Vaxis - Act III: The Father of Make Believe, is set to release on March 14th 2025. Once it’s out, the band will be setting out on a collaborative tour with Mastodon. After those dates are done, they’ll be teaming up with Taking Back Sunday for even more North American dates.
