Ready the trumpets, prime the horns! Tune those guitars, and get that voice ready, it's time to get Zen, and I've got a Diagram of how to get there! This is, The National and The War On Drugs, Co-Headline 2024 Zen Diagram Tour, with support from Lucius! And it all comes to Michigan Lottery Amphitheatre at Freedom Hill on Wednesday, September 25th 2024, so grab your tickets now because there's going to be a lot of demand for this one!

Both headline bands are set to play a full set list each, while Lucius will open. Currently, The National are touring in support of, First Two Pages of Frankenstein, and, Laugh Track, both of which were released in 2023. Meanwhile, the last new music from The War on Drugs was the album, I Don’t Live Here Anymore, from 2021.

The Zen Diagram Tour with co-headlining bands, The National and The War On Drugs, will be the first time these bands have teamed up. Kicking off in Gilford, New Hampshire, the tour will cross North America, and Canada, making stops in New York, Philadelphia, Toronto, Chicago, Salt Lake City, Vancouver, Portland, Los Angeles, and more, before the grand finale in Mexico City, Mexico. The headliners are joined by special guest and opening band, Lucius, on all dates except for Mexico City. Featuring full sets from both headliners, this will be a fantastic chance to hear some of the epic tracks from both bands' extensive back catalog!

2023 saw The National drop not one, but two epic new albums, First Two Pages of Frankenstein, and then later in the year, Laugh Track. Both albums present some interesting collaborations, with the band being joined by Phoebe Bridgers, Taylor Swift, Roseanne Cash, Bon Iver and Sufjian Stevens, on various tracks. In total, The National have scored an impressive five top 10 albums on The Billboard 200, as well as many Grammy nominations, but it was their 2017 album, Sleep Well Beast, that cinched them the award for Best Alternative Album.

The last new music from The War on Drugs, was their fifth studio album, I Don’t Live Here Anymore, from 2021. Ending the year on numerous 2021 best albums of the year lists, as well as earning the band their second Grammy Award nomination and a BRIT Award nomination. Slightly further back in time to 2018, the band picked up the Grammy for Best Rock Album for, A Deeper Understanding, and were nominated for a BRIT Award for International Group of the Year.
